lol. Yes, I will attempt to do that as well. I haven't checked out Gamasutra.com, so I'll look into the site, after this reply. I have taken the toll to be more indept with people's opinions and digesting gameplays more. It's no problem, and I really mean those words. Thankyou again.

:) I felt the same way. And yes, perseverance and determination helps -- just don't forget to apply that to your homework as well.

And by that, I don't mean just studying games in college or playing games. It's also to your advantage to be knowledgeable both in and out of the industry. Read literature, first off. If you can speak well about storytelling and explain what makes David Sedaris funny or Chekhov compelling, you're that much better of a designer. And read industry literature and articles (Gamasutra.com is a vast resource) and be conversant with the issues and technologies faced by/used by designers, artists, producers and programmers. No one will be expecting you to be able to code, but if you understand the general concepts, you're ahead of the game.

and thanks for the kind words!

Wow. It's different to read upon how you can get a job and explaining the steps getting into a gaming industry than someone informing you the hassel about the gaming careers. Though, I've already known about the lack of good paid and the endorsing hours of work, but not knowing the painful hardships of most fellow game employees suffer for younger industries, I truely can feel a bit deprived. Yet, even though I know it's very competative, I still want to be in apart of that world. I'd lied if I don't feel fully assure, but I know it's a place where I can truely set my opinions and try again. It's true that getting a job there is like hundreds of actors attempting to get one major role; it's having that preserver and determination that can be the thing that may get you across. In many artciles for gaming, they've mentioned the steps, ways, but they also mention the passion. Why else would they still keep going and stick with their job? You have to like both the good and bad about it. Thanks Game Writer Guy, your articles are things people should read and consider about. And thankyou for answering my questions.
