If you’re an MMO programmer of the senior-ish variety, listen closely: our contacts have tipped us to a hot opportunity with a top company that logged more than 15 million registered players in three years. They’re working on a new, family-friendly AAA MMO title and obviously they know what they’re doing.

Here are the details on this MMO programmer role:

Job Location: Austin, TX


  • Ability to work with a diverse and experienced team of developers in a creative and fast paced environment
  • Collaborate with other MMO programmers, designers and artists
  • Create, test, debug and maintain game code and scripts
  • Mentor and lead other members of the programming team


  • Verifiable proficiency with C++, Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
  • Architectural experience (client/server preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to and work within schedules that are assigned
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science


  • Real-time and Multi-threaded environments
  • Prior distributed system development experience
  • Network programming experience (TCP, UDP, optimization, security, NATs, etc.)
  • Prior shipped game titles and/or MMO programming experience
  • Database development experience
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows, SQL and XML

Austin Game Tester, Part II

New Game Tester Job

We’ve got an urgent call for game testers to work at Bioware, one of the best studios in Austin.

“We are looking for 20 Game testers for Bioware. We need to hire them by Friday. There are onsite interview on this Friday for this job in our office and start on Monday 04/19 of next week.

“We need resumes with good game testing experience on Online MMOs. I need your Word resume and the cover letter elaborating your experience in the Game Testing-Online MMO game testing, games you have tested, your QA experience/skills etc. I would be happy to schedule your interview.

“The rate is $10/hr on W2. The start date is 04/19. (Work location- Domain Mall- North East Austin)”
